Born in 1965 in Schwelm, Germany.
After studying economics at the universities of Konstanz and Kingston-upon-Thames (London), he started his professional career at Nomura Bank (Germany) GmbH, Frankfurt in 1992.
Support for institutional investors from Germany, Austria and Luxembourg for Asian investments. Trading in Japanese and Asian equities, warrants and convertible bonds, development of tax-optimised investment strategies and index tracker portfolios.
Permanent member of ISMA - International Securities Market Association since 1994.
1997 - move to Credit Suisse First Boston International, London.
Worked in EDCU - Equity Derivatives Convertible Unit. Providing advice for institutional investors, mainly European. Trading and structuring of convertible and exchangeable bonds, asset swaps, mandatory convertibles and other exotic structures. Bridge loans for businesses in stress situations.
2001 - internal move over the ‘Chinese Wall’, Director Capital Markets; development and structuring of tailor made financial market, capital, tax, accounting and regulatory solutions for companies, governments and supranational organisations.
2007 founded M|E|W Consul, Konstanz, Germany.
